i love being a photographer. I really do. It is amazing getting to spend time with happy in love people on some of the most memorable days of their lives. there are so many things about doing what I do that fill me with such JOY. but as much as I love photography.....I love my family more. And in the past couple years the balance between my passion for photography and the time spent with my family has gotten a little out of whack. In the interest of being a better wife and mother I am making a couple changes.
*as I mentioned before I am NOT taking on any regular family/maternity/children sessions (beyond what has been previously booked). but I will be doing three mini session dates throughout the year. The first date has already been announced. I will announce the other two dates (they will be Sundays) sometime throughout the year.
*For weddings: In 2012 (which I am booking for NOW, 2011 is fully booked) I am taking a VERY limited number of weddings. If you are interested in having me photograph your 2012 wedding please contact me now! (i don't plan on this being a permanent change.....)
* Answering emails. Please be assured, I DO value each and every email and inquiry I get. But I think in this digital age, we expect that if we send an email, no matter what day or what time someone will email us back ASAP. and well---that just isn't always a reality-- I have two small kids, weekends I am not usually anywhere near my computer between weddings and family things. During the week, you can expect a reply within 24-48 hours (depending on if I am traveling, etc) and on the weekends expect a reply within 48-72 hours thanks for understanding!
*also, hopefully soon there will be more changes on my blog and site!!!
some other randomosity. (it's a word because I say it is. LOL)
*My first wedding is coming up next weekend! I can't wait!
*after that I will be out of town Jan 30-Feb 2 shooting a destination wedding with my friend Rebecca of Studio Noveau Photography
*...earlier this week Rebecca--see link above, invited me along with her to shoot a proposal in chicago. It was AMAZING. check out this fabulous video of it that Rebecca made. I would love to shoot MORE proposals. So guys. if you are reading this, your future fiance will thank you if you have your proposal documented!
* PLEASE share the Krystal Muellenberg Photography facebook page with family and friends. For every new person that follows my page ("likes" it) in the month of January I will donate $1 to Children's Vision International. Thank you ALL for your support!
*in December I was featured on one of my favorite wedding blogs---postcards and pretties. Check it out!
